Schäfmoos is a district of the municipality of Fuchstal in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .

geography

The wasteland lies on a moraine ridge that separates the Wertach valley from the Lech valley.

history

Schäfmoos is first mentioned as Schefmos in 1595 .

After the desertification in the Thirty Years War , a manorial sheep farm was established in 1626 , but it was sold to two farmers in 1665. In the years 1696–97 both farms were rebuilt, they are still used for agriculture today.
