Grasmühle is a part of the municipality of Fuchstal in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .

geography

The wasteland is about three kilometers east of Asch between the east bank of the Lech and the federal road 17 at a fish pond .

Grasmühle is located in the immediate vicinity of Hohenwart , Römerkessel and Lechmühlen on the former Via Claudia .

history

Grasmühle is first mentioned in 1481 as Grasmulin .

The wasteland belonged to the imperial knights' rule Asch of the aristocratic St. Stephan monastery in Augsburg , only the high level of jurisdiction lay with the Bavarian district court of Schongau .

In 1711 the old mill was torn away from the Lech and a gravel terrace was rebuilt higher up. It served as a grinding and sawmill, in 1907 citizens from Asch and Leeder bought it and converted the mill into a power station . The electricity has been sold to Lechwerke since 1965 .

Until June 30, 1972, the wasteland belonged to the former municipality of Seestall .
