Geographical location
Lechsberg is located in the Asch district between Asch and Oberdießen on an old moraine that separates the Lech Valley from the Wertach Valley .
history
Lechsberg was first mentioned in 1255. It is known that Friedrich von Freyberg bought a stately castle with a moat and rampart in 1401, which is still remembered today by a stables . His sons divided the property into three farms that still exist and are managed today.
The Trinity Chapel, which is first mentioned in 1669 and was probably still made of wood at the time, belongs to the hamlet . A brick building was built in 1829 and was last renovated in 2000. The interior of the chapel with its copper onion dome is simply furnished with a wood-paneled ceiling and four rows of benches. The chapel has always been owned jointly by the three farming families living on the Lechsberg.
