The Schaalseelandschaft landscape protection area is located in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It contains the 433 ha large FFH area Testorfer woods and ponds landscape (see list of FFH areas in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ).
The approximately 7,100 hectare area, which consists of two parts and was designated by ordinance of September 30, 1998, extends
- in the western area west of the Schaalsee and the core town of Zarrentin am Schaalsee north of the A 24 to the state border of Schleswig-Holstein ; The state road L 04 runs through the area and flows the Boize
- in the eastern area east of the Schaalsee and the core town of Zarrentin am Schaalsee north of the A 24 ; The state road L 041 runs through the area and flows the shields ; the L 05 runs along the eastern edge; in the northeast of the area is the Woezer See .
