Schee is a local area in the districts of Gennebreck and Obersprockhövel of the city of Sprockhövel in the Ennepe-Ruhr district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

Location and description

Schee does not form a closed settlement, but is a scattered settlement consisting of several distributed residential areas . These are in detail Quellenburg , Rottenberg , Schacht Hövel , Alter Schneppendahl , Neuer Schneppendahl , Frielinghausen , Söhnchenschacht , New America , Im Ringelsiepen , Am Bischof , Im Brucherbach , Scherenberg , Flüsloh , Auf Leckebüschen , Am Schmalenberg , Am Steinnocken , Im Büschken , Am Röhrdiek , Am Nockenberg , Im Bräukelchen , Sankt Moritz , Bahnhof Schee and Alter Schee .

The local area is located in the south-western part of the Sprockhövel city area and is crossed by Landesstraße 70 and Kreisstraße 33, which in turn were qualified as Bundesstraße 51 until the end of the 20th century . The route of the Wuppertal-Wichlinghausen-Hattingen railway line with the Scheetunnel, which was closed in 1979, runs through the local area, which has been converted into a cycle path . The route of the Schee – Silschede railway line, which has also been converted into a cycle path, branches off in the district.
