Schienenschlacht is a 1946 film about the battle of the French railroad workers against the German troop trains. Originally, the film was intended as a documentary, but it was ultimately a feature film. The premiere was on February 27, 1946, in the same year it was shown in September at the first Cannes International Film Festival . In 2010 a restored version of the film was presented there.
