The Schillinger Panoramaweg in the Trier-Saarburg district is a dream loop on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig . The circular hiking trail begins and ends at the Flonterbachweiher (Schillinger Waldweiher) , which is located on the Flonterbach near Schillingen .

The panorama path with a length of around 16 kilometers can be shortened to 11 or 13 kilometers in two places. The entire route can be comfortably walked in four and a half hours in normal weather conditions. The German Hiking Institute has rated the trail with 64 adventure points.

There are hardly any inclines, so the panorama path is also well suited for beginners. From the path you can see the Schillingen, the Teufelskopf and the Rösterkopf , the highest elevations in the Black Forest and Osburger Hochwald . Striking points along the way are the Flonterbach pond, the Fatima chapel there, the cellar reservoir and the Flonterbach.

The path crosses pristine forests with a varied tree population, along smaller streams and through open fields. On the way towards Zerf is the area where the wild daffodils bloom in late March or early April and the daffodil festival is celebrated at this time. There are restaurants at the Flonterbachweiher, in Schillingen or at the Keller reservoir .
