Schlicht is a district of the city of Vilseck in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

geography

Schlicht is located on State Road 2120 between Vilseck and Hahnbach on the upper reaches of the Vils . Important highways such as the Sächsische Strasse and the Böhmische Strasse once crossed here.

history

The area around Schlicht was already settled in the Bronze Age (around 2000 BC). During the Landshut War of Succession , the Sulzbachers burned down the village of Schlicht on the night of August 13, 1504, except for the church and 2 houses. By the first Bavarian community edict, Schlicht was assigned to the tax district and the district court of Amberg and thus to the Naab district in 1808 . After the Naabkreis was dissolved in favor of the Mainkreis and the Regenkreis , Seugast was assigned to the Regenkreis in 1810 together with the Amberg District Court (from 1838 "Upper Palatinate and Regensburg").

Through the second Bavarian community edict, Schlicht became an independent political community in 1818.

The Vilseck district court was founded in 1838, to which Schlicht was assigned together with the tax communities of Adlholz , Ehenfeld , Gibbach , Gressenwöhr , Großschönbrunn , Hahnbach , Iber , Irlbach , Langenbruck , Massenricht , Schalkenthan , Seugast , Sigl , Süß and Vilseck and separated from the Amberg district court .
