The Schliersberg , also called Rhonberg or Rohnberg , is a 1265 m high mountain in the Bavarian Prealps in the municipality of Schliersee , Miesbach district , Upper Bavaria .
Since 1952 a small cable car has been leading from Nord-Schliersee to the Schliersbergalm ( 1061 m above sea level ), above which the forest begins and the smaller second half of the ascent to the summit is located. The track was renewed in 1982 and 1996. It has a length of 725 m, climbs 230 meters and carries up to 500 passengers per day; the journey time is approx. 4 minutes. The operator is the Hotel- und Seilbahn-Betriebs GmbH. There is a restaurant with a hotel (29 rooms) at the Schliersbergalm mountain station. A summer toboggan run also begins there .
Hiking opportunities
The mountain can be reached from Schliersee on an easy mountain hike over the Schliersbergalm ( 1055 m or 1061 m ) (ascent: 1:30 hours, descent: 1 hour, approx. 450 meters in altitude). The wooded peak offers no view.
