Koritau Castle

Koritau Castle ( Polish Pałac w Korytowie ) is a ruinous castle in Korytoẃ (German Koritau ) in the powiat Kłodzki ( Glatz district ) in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland. Historically it belonged to the County of Glatz .

history

Koritau Castle was built in 1711 by the then landlord Anton Isaias von Hartig by the fortress builder Jakob ( Jacopo ) Carove in the Baroque style. It is a rectangular building with two storeys, a low hipped roof and two blown portals , which are crowned with gables . The window axes are accentuated by recessed parapet areas . In a passage there is a staircase with remains of a stucco decoration .

At the entrance to the park there is a figure of the Bohemian national saint John of Nepomuk erected in 1726 .
