Singenbach Castle

The singing Bach Castle is a former castle and later guest house in singing Bach (municipality Gerolsbach ) in the district of Pfaffenhofen .

history

In the 11th century, the nobles of Munninpach expanded the property into a closed Hofmark . In 1422 the Hofmark came to the Lords of Frauenberg-Taufkirchen, probably through an inheritance. From the 17th century it was owned by the barons of Niedermair. From 1817 to 1848 there was a Freiherr von Niedermair'sches patrimonial court . The family sold the castle in 1849/52. It has been converted into an inn.

The castle is a listed building (number D-1-86-125-40) and is described as follows:

"Three-storey half - hipped roof building with a polygonal , pointed helmeted corner bay tower , the core of the 1st half of the 16th century"
