historical recording

In the 16th century, the Lukavský von Lukavitz family built a Renaissance chateau on the site of a castle that belonged to Vaňek von Zámrsk in 1469 and which had been destroyed by an army from Matthias Corvinus . In 1613 the castle and the manor were owned by Karl Kapoun von Svojkow (Karel Kapoun ze Svojkova). Because of his participation in the Bohemian class uprising , his property was confiscated by the emperor after the battle of the White Mountain .

After several changes of ownership in 1648 the Libštejnský von Kolovrat acquired the rule of Zámrsk. Over the course of 120 years, they had the palace rebuilt and expanded into a four-wing complex in the Baroque style. From 1780 to 1849 the Zámrsk castle and estate belonged to the Zásadský von Gamsendorf family . In 1945 the castle became state property.

Since 1961 it has housed the Zámrsk State Archive, which serves as the regional archive for the Pardubice and Hradec Králové regions . It is only accessible to registered researchers.
