The Schnepfenbach is an almost one kilometer long right and southeast tributary of the Mergbach .

The Schnepfenbach rises in the Odenwald at an altitude of about 268  m above sea level. NN in a wet meadow on the northwest slope of the Heidenberg ( 330.1  m above sea level ) south of Reichelsheim . It flows in a north-westerly direction through a meadow landscape. At Reichelsheim, after crossing under Heidelberger Straße , it finally flows out at an altitude of about 218  m above sea level. NN in the Mergbach .
