The Schoberstein is a 1037 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Höllengebirge , rather a ridge in the ridge course from Weißenbach am Attersee , district of the municipality Steinbach am Attersee , to Brennerin . From the summit you have a beautiful view of the Attersee and the Schafberg ; the Mondsee can also be partially seen.

The Schoberstein is climbed very often from Weißenbach. Most of the marked path is extremely steep. Two short wire ropes make it easier to negotiate the rocky summit structure.
Little Schoberstein
Immediately west of the Schoberstein is the 985 m above sea level. A. high peaks of the Kleiner Schoberstein ( location ). To distinguish it from this, the main summit is also known as the Großer Schoberstein . The Kleine Schoberstein can be reached from the ascent to the Großer Schoberstein with easy climbing ( difficulty level I).
