Schukyn ( Ukrainian Жукин ; Russian Жукин Schukin ) is a village in Vyshhorod Raion in the northeast of the Ukrainian Kiev Oblast with about 1100 inhabitants.
Schukyn is located on the banks of the Desna , a left tributary of the Dnieper , in Vyshhorod Raion near the border with Brovary Raion and Chernihiv Oblast . The Vyshhorod district center, which can be reached via the P-69 regional road , is 36 km southwest of Schukyn. The neighboring village of Voropajiw is 6 km south of the village.
The village, founded in 1650, is the center of the district council of the same name , to which, in addition to Schukyn, the village of Rowschi ( Ровжі ⊙ ) with about 40 inhabitants belongs.
