Guardian Angel Chapel (Herresbach)
The Guardian Angel Chapel is a Catholic chapel in the local church Herresbach in Mayen-Koblenz ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), built 1,843th It is a protected cultural monument .
The chapel, a building made of local quarry stones , bears the patronage of the holy guardian angels and the apostle Matthias . The foundation stone was laid on June 30, 1843. The master road builder Mertitsch from Mayen was responsible for the plans .
A previous chapel. which was mentioned in 1656, had to be demolished in 1838 due to dilapidation . Baron Johann Adolf Waldbott of Bassenheim , the then landlord , founded on 24 April 1746 an early measurement sinecures .
