The Schwarzenbach is a left tributary of the Isar in Upper Bavaria .
The Schwarzenbach arises on the south side of the ridge belonging to the Benediktenwand (1800 m) at the Hinteren Scharnitzalm . Most of its course takes place in an eastward direction in a valley between the Benediktenwand and the mountain ridge of the Langeneck, which borders on the south. This begins at the Langenecksattel and extends over the Hahnberg (1320 m), Düftberg (1126 m) to the Kohlberg (1041 m) and ends at the district of Langeneck.
All mountain streams in this approximately 17 km² large valley drain to the Schwarzenbach as its receiving water .
Up until the 19th century, the water power of the stream drove two gypsum mills and a sawmill near the hamlet of Langeneck , where it flows into the Isar.
