The black box settlement (also Schwarzenfeld settlement ) is a living space within the boundaries of the Königheimer hamlet Gissigheim in Main-Tauber-Kreis in northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

The surrounding towns are Gissigheim ( ) in the north-north-west, Dittwar ( ) in the north-east, Heckfeld ( ) in the south-east, Brehmen ( ) in the west- south- west, Hof Esselbrunn ( ) in the west as well as the Badholz settlement ( ) and the Ried -Settlement ( ) in the northwest.

The Schwarzfeld settlement is drained by the Reißberggraben , which rises shortly before the settlement, leads past it and flows into the Ölbach after about 3 km at Dittwar .

Economy and Infrastructure

Schwarzfeld solar park

In January 2020, plans for the "Solarpark Schwarzfeld" photovoltaic open space system were presented directly at the Gissigheim Schwarzfeld settlement. The solar park should cover around 13 hectares and achieve an annual output of around ten megawatts peak (MWp).

The Schwarzfeld-Siedlung residential area can be reached via a farm road that branches off from the K 2836 . Next to it from the direction of Dittwar on a farm road along the Reißberggraben.
