Schytni Hory ( Ukrainian Житні Гори ; Russian Житные Горы Schitnyje Gory , Polish Żytnie Góry ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with about 2300 inhabitants (2001).
According to the Geographical Lexicon of the Kingdom of Poland , the village had 616 inhabitants in 1790 and 1351 in 1863. In 1973, according to the history of the cities and villages of the Ukrainian SSR , it had 2524 inhabitants.
In the center of the village there is an architectural monument of national importance with the wooden church of St. Joseph, built in 1756 and expanded in 1854.
Schytni Hory is the only village of the 30 km² district council of the same name in the center of Rokytne district . The village is located on the bank of the Rokytna ( Рокитна ), a 20 km long left tributary of the Dnepr tributary Ros , 5 km north of the Rokytne district center and 100 km south of the Ukrainian capital Kiev . The territorial road T – 10–10 runs through the village .
