Scott Boggan

Scott Boggan (born June 13, 1961 ) is an American table tennis player . He took part in three world championships .

Career

Scott Boggan is a son of table tennis historian Tim Boggan . As a six year old Scott already appeared in tournaments. He increased his playing strength and was nominated for the first time in 1979 for the world championship . He took part in world championships in 1981 and 1983 , but never came close to medal ranks.

From 1979, Scott Boggan played in Germany for four years. First he joined the Bundesliga club TTC Simex Jülich . In 1981 he moved to NF Rheydt in the 2nd Bundesliga. At the end of the 1990s he played again in Germany, at that time for the TTF Bad Honnef club in the regional league.

In 2001, Scott Boggan was inducted into the Hall of Fame for United States table tennis players.

Private

Scott Boggan's younger brother Eric had a similar career in table tennis. Scott is married and has two sons.
