Scott Elrod
Scott Michael Elrod (born February 10, 1975 in Bitburg , Germany ) is an American actor .
life and career
Scott Elrod was born into a US military family in Bitburg, Rhineland-Palatinate. He later grew up in the Philippines , among others , before the family settled in Parker , Colorado , USA . During his time in high school, Elrod was very active in sports, such as baseball and athletics . Upon graduation, he attended Metro State College and initially wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father, who was a General Dynamics F-16 pilot. Therefore Elrod acquired his pilot's license and after graduation initially worked as an air traffic controller for the United States Air Force . After six years, he turned his back on the Air Force.
Around 2004 Elrod decided to pursue an acting career and therefore moved to Los Angeles , where he took on his first acting role in an episode of the CSI: NY series in 2005 . As an inspiration for the way into the acting business, he gives Tom Cruise 's portrayal in the film Top Gun - You fear neither death nor the devil . Soon after joining, Elrod was cast in a supporting role in a series, from 2007 to 2008 he could be seen as Leonard "Cash" Morrissey in Men in Trees . He became known to a larger audience primarily through his film roles. He was in 2008 in the lead role in Tricks of a Woman to see which on the Monaco International Film Festival as Best Film was awarded the Angel Awards Trophy. Other engagements include, for example , Argo in love , as well as the leading role in the sports drama Home Run: The 2nd Chance and a supporting role in the war film Lone Survivor .
In addition to his series appearances, Elrod can also be seen regularly in guest roles on US television, including CSI: Miami , Castle , Navy CIS: LA , Anger Management , How to Get Away with Murder , Grey's Anatomy and Chicago Fire . From 2014 to 2015 Elrod was part of the cast of the soap opera Shadow of Passion as Joe Clark .
Private
In December 2015, he and his fiancée Vanessa Vazart announced that they were expecting a child. In June 2016, their son Easton was born.
