Scott McCaig
Scott Cal McCaig CC (born December 12, 1965 in Duncan , British Columbia ) is a Canadian religious and Roman Catholic military bishop of Canada .
Life
Scott McCaig joined the Congregation of the Companions of the Cross in 1990 and laid the first profession from. On June 3, 1995, he was ordained a priest . Since 2012 he was Superior General of his religious order.
Pope Francis appointed him Military Bishop of Canada on April 8, 2016. He was ordained episcopal by the Archbishop of Ottawa , Terrence Thomas Prendergast SJ , on May 31 of the same year. Co-consecrators were Christian Riesbeck CC , Auxiliary Bishop in Ottawa, and his predecessor Donald Thériault .
