Seamount is a Bavarian doom metal band from Würzburg , which was founded in 2007.
history
The band was founded in 2007 by the German guitarist Tim Schmidt and the American singer Phil Swanson. After developing a few songs, they recorded them and released them for download . As a result, the band reached a contract with Merciless Records in 2008 , about which the songs, plus a few bonus songs, were released as their debut album ntodrm , an abbreviation for "new torch of doom rock music". This was followed by a tour of Germany, whereupon the group reached a contract with The Church Within Records . In 2009 the second album Light II Truth followed. Further appearances followed before the third album Sacrifice was released in 2010 . The release was followed by a European tour held with Serpent Venom and Orchid . In 2012 the next album, Earthmother , was released, followed by the album Nitro Jesus in 2015 .

The band plays classic Doom Metal, reminiscent of the music of bands like Black Sabbath , Saint Vitus , Mirror of Deception , Solitude Aeternus and Dawn of Winter .
