Sean James Marshall (born April 11, 1985 in Rialto , California , United States ) is an American basketball player . He is currently under contract with JL Bourg-en-Bresse in France.

Career

Marshall received his basketball training from 2003 to 2007 at Boston College . In his senior season (2006/07) with the Boston Eagles in the US college league, he averaged 14.8 points per game.

In the 2007 NBA draft , Marshall was not drafted. He began his professional career in the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi with Pınar Karşıyaka and scored an average of 19.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in the 2007/08 season.

For the 2008/09 season Marshall moved to Greece to Aris Thessaloniki . After an injury in February 2009 Marshall fell out for a few weeks and then moved back to Turkey to Aliağa Petkim GSK . However, he only played one game in the Turkish league.

In the 2009/10 season Marshall played in France for JDA Dijon Basket , where he averaged 14.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in 29 games.

In the following years Marshall played for various clubs in Turkey and France, u. a. again at Karşıyaka and Dijon.

In the 2014/15 season, Marshall also played in Turkey for Trabzonspor . With Trabzonspor, Marshall was able to advance to the final of the Final Four in the EuroChallenge 2014/15 , where the team finally lost to JSF Nanterre .

For the 2015/16 season Marshall moved to the NBA Development League and played for the Westchester Knicks , the New York Knicks' farm team . In January 2016, Marshall moved to Telekom Baskets in Bonn , where he received a contract until the end of the season. With the Baskets, Marshall missed the leap into the playoffs and in May joined the French second division club JL Bourg-en-Bresse until the end of the season.
