Sean Smith (* 14. July 1987 in Pasadena , California ) is an American American football poker players. He last played as cornerback for the Oakland Raiders in the National Football League (NFL). Previously, he was with the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs .

college

Smith, who showed great athletic talent early on - he also played basketball and athletics in high school - attended the University of Utah and successfully played college football for their team, the Utah Utes . He was originally signed as a running back , but was initially called up as a wide receiver . It was only towards the end of his first season that he was converted into a cornerback . As a result, he was able to set a total of 80 tackles , score 1.0 sack and defend 16 passes. He also got nine interceptions and one touchdown .

Miami Dolphins

Smith was selected in the NFL Draft 2009 in the second round as the 61st overall player by the Miami Dolphins . He was able to establish himself in the team immediately in his rookie season and was a starter in all games . The following three seasons he proved to be a support in the Dolphins' defensive backfield .

Kansas City Chiefs

In March 2013, he signed a three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs for $ 15 million . He also performed consistently well with his new team. In 2015 he was banned from the league for three games after he caused a body damage while drunk and was subsequently fined for drunk driving .

Oakland Raiders
