Sebastián Eduardo Crismanich (born October 30, 1986 in Corrientes ) is an Argentine Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 80 kilograms.

Crismanich came to Taekwondo at the age of seven. He played his first international title fights at the 2005 World Cup in Madrid , where he was eliminated in the class up to 72 kilograms in the quarter-finals. In the following years he was particularly successful at the Pan American Championships. In 2006 he won the title for the first time in Buenos Aires in the class up to 72 kilograms, and in 2008 he repeated the triumph in the class up to 78 kilograms. Crismanich celebrated his greatest sporting success so far at the Pan American Games 2011 in Guadalajara . He won the gold medal in the class up to 80 kilograms with a final victory over Carlos Vázquez .

At the Pan-American Olympic qualification tournament in Santiago de Querétaro , Crismanich reached the final against Steven Lopez in the class up to 80 kilograms and secured participation in the 2012 Olympic Games in London . There he won the gold medal, with a narrow 1-0 victory in the final over the Spaniard Nicolás García and thus the first in this sport in Argentine sports history. He is also the first Argentine Olympic champion in an individual sport in 64 years.

Crismanich is studying agricultural science in Córdoba . His brother Mauro is also a successful Taekwondoin.
