Sebastian Adayanthrath

Sebastian Adayanthrath (born April 5, 1957 in Vaikom , India ) is an Indian clergyman and Syro-Malabar bishop of Mandya .

Life

Sebastian Adayanthrath received on 18 December in 1983 by the Auxiliary Bishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly, Sebastian Mankuzhikary , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 4 February 2002 it appointed Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Macriana Maior and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in the Syro-Malabar Catholic Major Archeparchy of Ernakulam -Angamaly . The Syro-Malabar Grand Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly, Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil CSsR , donated him episcopal ordination on April 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of London in Canada , John Michael Sherlock , and the Auxiliary Bishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly, Thomas Chakiath .

The Synod of the Syro-Malabar Church elected him Bishop of Mandya on August 30, 2019 .
