Bosco Puthur

Bosco Puthur (born May 28, 1946 in Parappur , India ) is Bishop of the Eparchy Saint Thomas in Melbourne .

Life

Bosco Puthur received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Trichur on March 27, 1971 .

On January 15, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Foratiana and ordered him to Curia Bishop in the Syro-Malabar Catholic Major Archeparchy of Ernakulam -Angamaly . The Syro-Malabar Grand Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly, Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil CSsR , donated him episcopal ordination on February 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Tellicherry Archepark , George Valiamattam , and the Archbishop of Trichur, Andrews Thazhath .

On January 11, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of the newly established Saint Thomas Eparchy in Melbourne . The inauguration took place on March 25 of the same year.
