Sebastian Bloss

Sebastian Bloss ( November 4, 1559 in Münsingen ; † March 4, 1627 in Sulz am Neckar ) was a German medic .

Life

Sebastian Bloss enrolled at the University of Tübingen on December 15, 1578 , where he was promoted to a master's degree on August 17, 1580 .

He received his doctorate as "Doctor der Arzney ". In 1584 he accepted an appointment as professor of medicine at the University of Heidelberg , in 1586 he became a physicist in Ulm and in 1600 professor of medicine at the University of Tübingen . He was repeatedly dean of the medical faculty in Tübingen and from October 18, 1607 to May 1, 1608 rector of the university.

family

In April 1588 he married a née Strohmaier, widow of Wolfgang Unsöld, a merchant in Ulm. In his second marriage he married Anna Maria Eisengrein (born December 14, 1578 in Stuttgart; † October 4, 1635 in Tübingen). He had 13 children with her:
