Sebastian Hähnge (born March 11, 1978 in Magdeburg ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
At the beginning of his career he played for the Magdeburg clubs BSG Motor Mitte, Prussia Magdeburg and 1. FC Magdeburg . On April 4, 1996, Hähnge was used against Rot-Weiß Prenzlau for the first time in the first men's team and scored his first league goal. He played a total of 86 point games for FCM and scored 13 goals. For the 1999/2000 season he moved to Chemnitzer FC , for which he completed his first second division game on March 10, 2000 against FSV Mainz 05 .
For the 2000/01 season Hähnge moved to Dynamo Dresden . There he scored seventeen goals in 64 games, but was retired after the 2002/03 season and went from September 2003 to March 2004 as a “backpack tourist” to Australia . At the end of March 2004 he moved to FC Carl Zeiss Jena , where he became a regular player and scored 38 goals in 75 league games. As the second best scorer of the Regionalliga season 2005/06 (15 goals), he moved to Hansa Rostock for the 2006/07 season . In his first year at Hansa in the Second Bundesliga, he came on as a substitute player, where he contributed to the Hanseatic League's rise to the First Bundesliga with three goals in 17 games. From the 5th match day of the following season, on which he scored his first first division goal against MSV Duisburg , Hähnge was now part of the regular formation. For the 2008/09 season he went back to FC Carl Zeiss Jena and signed a contract there until 2011.
Overall, Hähnge, who is a trained striker but can also play in midfield, rose five times: with 1. FC Magdeburg in 1996/97 in the Regionalliga Nordost, with 1. FC Dynamo Dresden 2001/02 in the Regionalliga Nord, with the FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the Regionalliga Nord in 2004/05 and in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2005/06 and in the 1st Bundesliga with Hansa Rostock in 2006/07. After four years for FC Carl Zeiss Jena , he left the club in June 2012 and ended his active career.
After a year-long break, Hähnge signed a contract for the 2013/14 season with the newly promoted Regionalliga Nordost FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin .
Personal
His brother Henning is also a soccer player. After he previously u. a. was active at Prussia Magdeburg , the goal- scoring midfielder is now playing at SSV Besiegdas Magdeburg , where he is mostly used in the "sixth position" or as a central defender.
