Sebastian Herrmann (born June 27, 1977 in Heidelberg ) is a German actor and filmmaker .

Life

Sebastian Herrmann was born in Heidelberg, grew up in Lüdenscheid and discovered his love for acting and the medium of film at an early age . In 1996 he finished the Rudolf Steiner School in Wuppertal with the Abitur and in the same year began studying acting at the University of Music and Theater Hamburg , which he successfully completed in 2000 with an acting diploma.

This was followed by an engagement at the Schauspiel Köln , where he stayed as a permanent member of the ensemble until 2004. (Artistic directors Günther Krämer (- 2002) & Marc Günther (2002–2007)). From 2010 to 2014 he was a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater Oldenburg. Herrmann already gained experience in filming and television production during his studies.

With his first short film Kleine Sünden , Sebastian Herrmann founded the sole proprietorship Padrone Film. Herrmann made his feature film debut as a director in 2005 with Mimirsbrunnr , which was awarded the 2006 Camera Prize in New York. Ten years later, Herrmann completed his second feature film The Abolition in 2015 .

Sebastian Herrmann was married to the actress and singer Sandra Maria Schöner and has two children with her.
