Criminal offenses

In November 2009, Sebastian Münster was arrested on the strong suspicion of deprivation of liberty and rape of two women, which had happened in December 2001. The public prosecutor's office was originally investigating dangerous bodily harm, serious robbery and violation of the Narcotics Act. A DNA sample established the connection to the earlier case. In March 2010, according to the Bonn public prosecutor's office, Sebastian Münster “largely admitted” the criminal offenses of which he was charged. On 27 May 2010 he was charged with an aggravated robbery and rape in two cases in the state of reduced culpability sentenced to six and a half years imprisonment. The court also ordered a stay in a rehab facility.

In the early morning of December 13, 2016, Münster was arrested on the urgent suspicion of attempted rape. The prosecution regards it as proven that he tried armed with a balaclava, socks over his hands and a knife at a playground in Huerth to overpower a 15-year-old schoolgirl and to force her to have sexual intercourse. However, the girl managed to free herself, a local resident and a passerby overwhelmed Munster on the run. On June 12, 2017, he was brought to the main hearing at the Cologne Regional Court from pre- trial detention and sentenced for this act on June 28, 2017 to six years' imprisonment without parole (this is only possible with sentences of up to two years) as well as placement in a rehab facility .
