Endurance Test is a film comedy from 1998. The film is the only full-length feature film by director Janek Rieke who also plays the leading role.

action

Jonas is in his mid-twenties, who still lives well protected with his parents and is being prepared for professional life in his father's shipping company .

His girlfriend leaves him because he is too scared for her. Then he met the self-confident bicycle courier Lena. For Jonas it is love at first sight, but she gives him a series of tasks in which he has to prove that he is not a "wimp".

Jonas helps Lena with radical environmental campaigns, fights a jealous rival and fights a horde of skinheads . In the end he passes the exams and learns to assert himself against his parents.

The Wiesbaden film evaluation agency awarded the film the rating “valuable”. The film was nominated in the categories of Best Film and Best Actress ( Lisa Martinek ) at the German Film Awards. In 1998 he won the audience award at the Max Ophüls Festival .
