history
In 1664 Hans Georg von Seebach acquired the area from the lords of Brandenstein and made it a Vorwerk in 1684 . Originally it served the game and forest rangers as accommodation, later as a shelter for sheep, cattle and their keepers. In 1725 the von Eschwege family acquired the Wernburg estate and with it the associated farm. It was owned by the von Schönfeld family until 1758 , when it was married to the Barons von Erffa , who owned the estate until 1945. With the land reform in 1946, the Seebach Vorwerk was awarded to the new farmers Brombach, Blümel and Mörchel (1952 to Kuschick). In the 1980s, the Blümel farm was demolished, so that today only two farms remain.
