The Agathazell airfield is a glider airfield located just 800 meters east of the outskirts of Immenstadt and just under 2.5 km north of the town of Sonthofen in the municipality of Burgberg . It is the southernmost airfield in Germany.

The airfield and the buildings are operated by the Luftsportgemeinschaft Oberallgäu eV. The stationed aircraft are owned by the Luftsportverein Agathazell eV The two clubs have 162 members, of which 61 are active (as of March 2017) .
terrain
The club building with attached garage and workshop is located on the site. There are two hangars with an attached tower . A filling station provides MoGas and diesel. The fixed winch has a movable shelter. The runway consists of double-T paving stones (also called bone stones) and is interrupted by a restricted access road.
education
The Luftsportverein Agathazell eV offers training to become a glider pilot , touring motor glider pilot and air sports equipment operator on the premises . In addition, there is training in glider aerobatics .
