Seifersdorf is a district of the small Saxon town of Hartha in the district of central Saxony . 1964 the place had 175 inhabitants. In 1968 it was incorporated into Schönerstädt , in 1978 it belonged to Gersdorf , and since 2004 to Hartha.

history

Seifersdorf was created in the 12th century as part of the state expansion in the Pleißenland . It was subordinate to the Burgraves of Leisnig .

In 1215, when the Bishop of Meissen confirmed the transfer of the Leisnig parish to the Buch monastery, a chapel and the tithe in Siuirdisdorf were named as accessories to the furnishings of the Leisnig church. The tithe should go directly to the pastor of Leisnig.

In 1339 the abbot von Buch, as the owner of the ius patronatus for Seifersdorf , asked the bishop of Meissen to unite the parishes of Schönerstädt and Seifersdorf. The same request came from the Abbess von Geringswalde for the church in Schönerstädt. In 1340 the Bishop of Meissen united the parishes of Schönerstädt and Seifersdorf under the pastor of Schönerstädt, Johannes von Russewin ; after his death or resignation, both convents should exercise their patronage rights again. In 1355 Johannes von Russewin is named as the chaplain of the Burgraves of Leisnig.

In 1378 the Registrum dominorum only says that Syfirstorf et Meynic belong to the court in Leisnig, no further taxes are mentioned. In 1548, the Leisnig zu Seifersdorf registry of inheritance names "15 possessed men, including 2 gardeners, who are all lendable to the Leisnig office and are subject to interest" with 16 hooves. The Buch monastery office only has to collect grain interest. The upper court and the court of inheritance belonged to the Leisnig office. Ecclesiastically, the place belonged to Gersdorf in 1548, to Schönerstädt again after 1860, to Leisnig from 1927, and to Gersdorf again since 2001.

At Kamprad you can get an idea of the poor school conditions around 1750, as well as in the Saxon church gallery.
