Lauschka is a district of the small Saxon town of Hartha in the district of Central Saxony .

geography

Lauschka lies between Hartha and Leisnig at 223 meters above sea level . The place is about 0.5 square kilometers, including about 171  hectares of forest, field and meadow area. Neighboring villages Lauschka are Klosterbuch in the north , Wendishain in the southeast , Queckhain in the southwest and Minkwitz in the west . The city of Leisnig joins in the northwest. With the exception of Wendishain, to which Lauschka belongs administratively (and thus to Hartha), all surrounding places are parts of Leising.

history

The settlement was first mentioned in 1350 as Luczcen . 1378, Luskov was written . the place was part of the Castrum Leisnig in the Electorate of Saxony . From 1404 onwards, the Leisnig office is given as the administrative affiliation of Lauschka. The name is of Old Sorbian origin, the original meaning can only be guessed. Probably there is a settlement in the Wiesenbruch , on the edge of the Auenbach.

Lauschka is a typical round village or an extended round hamlet . Since 1875 the place belonged to the administrative authority Döbeln . The independence of the municipality of Lauschka ended in 1936 when it was incorporated into Wendishain .

On January 1, 1994, Wendishain was incorporated into Hartha, and Lauschka has been part of this town since then.

1350 was the settlement Luczcen , 1378 Luskow , from 1403 Lusko then, 1504 Lauschkaw , then 1516 Laußkaw and 1548 Lauschka .

Lauschka had the highest number of inhabitants to date in 1834 with 123 inhabitants. Of the 110 inhabitants in 1925, 107 were of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination and three were Catholic . In August 2011 the population of Lauschka was divided into 22 men, 24 women and 6 children. 15 of the residents are pensioners .
