course
The Passbach rises about 750 m north of the outskirts of the Selmer district of Cappenberg at an altitude of about 102 m above sea level. NHN . From its source it first flows in a west-south-west direction and continues after an arc to the north-west until it reaches the edge of the settlement of the Selmer town center after about 6 km. there the smaller Herbach flows with it from the left , creating the Selmer Bach . This crosses the city center in a north-westerly direction, then flows further towards west-north-west and flows into the Lippe tributary Stever at about 45 m altitude west-southwest of the Selm district of Ternsche - a few meters before it crosses under the Dortmund-Ems canal .
