Sergei Dmitrievich Troitsky

Sergei Dmitrievich Troitsk ( Russian Сергей Дмитриевич Троицкий * 15. June 1899 in Moscow , Russian Empire ; † 17th March 1962 ) was a Soviet theater - and film - actor and theater director .

Life

Troitski's mother was a seamstress and worked for the Bolshoi Theater . She was evacuated to Ulyanovsk as a result of the First World War and died there in 1943. Her father Dmitri Troitsky († 1920) was a pastry chef.

Sergei attended school until 1914 and then worked as an office clerk and accountant until 1924. In 1926 he completed a directing course as part of the Proletkult program and held various engagements until 1945, including staging at the Workers' Youth Theater in Irkutsk and performing at the Mayakovsky Theater . After the war he was hired by the Mosfilm studio and worked for them in Germany between 1951 and 1953. Troitsky also appeared at the Moscow State Theater of Film Actors.

His film career began in 1924, in addition to his first roles, he was also involved in the script for Око за око, газ за газ ( Oka sa oka, gas sa gas , 1924). The heavyweight mime developed a reputation as a performer of humorous roles, including Alexander Rous in two fairy tale films. He also took part in various literary adaptations , e.g. As a referee in Мексиканец ( Mexikanez ) for "The Mexican Felipe Rivera" by Jack London , Отелло ( Otello ) to Shakespeare's play " Othello " (both 1955) or Идиот ( Idiot , 1958) based on the novel " The Idiot " by Fyodor Dostoevsky . In 1942 he was seen in small supporting roles in the two-part partisan film Боевой киносборник "Лесные братья" ( Bojewoi kinosbornik "Lesnye bratja" ). Troitski's filmography includes 47 works, including the animated film Трубка и медведь ( Trubka i medwed , 1955), in which he was heard as a speaker.

Troitski died three months before his 63rd birthday and was buried in the Wagankowo Cemetery. He left his wife Evdokija Wassiljewna (1904–1978) and his son Andrei (* 1931).
