Sergio Alfredo Gualberti Calandrina (born November 8, 1945 in Clusone , Bergamo province , Italy ) is Archbishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra .

Life

Sergio Alfredo Gualberti received on 26 June 1971, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 6 May 1999 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Arsacal and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The Archbishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Julio Terrazas Sandoval CSsR , donated him episcopal ordination on July 22nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Bolivia , Archbishop Rino Passigato , and the Bishop of Bergamo , Roberto Amadei . On September 28, 2011 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to Coadjutor Archbishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

On May 25, 2013 Sergio Alfredo Gualberti became Archbishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, succeeding Julio Cardinal Terrazas Sandoval, who resigned for reasons of age.
