Sergiu Luca (dancer)

Sergiu Luca (born October 10, 1982 in Timișoara , Romania ) is a Romanian dance sport trainer and former professional dancer .

biography

Luca has been dancing since he was ten. He started out for Romania in the Standard and Latin sections . From 2003 to 2007 he danced first with Ramona Dinu-Biringer and later with Katarina Vuletic in the main group S-Standard and -Latein and competed for the Black and White Club Pforzheim .

In 2008 he specialized in Latin American dances. First he danced with Regina Murtasina , then from November 2008 to May 2015 with Maria Arces , with whom he initially continued for the Black and White Club Pforzheim. From 2010 the couple danced for Romania. In 2013 it switched to the professionals and now started again for the Black and White Club Pforzheim with the professionals in the German Dance Sports Association . In May 2015, the couple ended their dance career together. In November 2015, Luca married his former dance partner Regina Murtasina.

In 2015, Luca took part in the RTL dance show Let's Dance for the first time . With Panagiota Petridou he retired in the third episode. A year later he danced with Alessandra Meyer-Wölden , with whom he reached 7th place. In 2017 his dance partner was Ann-Kathrin Brömmel , with whom he dropped out in the fifth show. In 2018 he danced with Barbara Meier for the first time up to the finals and took third place with her.
