Serhat Gülpınar (born January 1, 1979 in Reşadiye , Tokat ) is a former Turkish football player . Through his many years of work for Denizlispor , he is strongly associated with this association. With over 170 appearances for Denizlispor, he is one of the list with the most appearances in the club's history. On fan and club pages he is seen as one of the most important players in the club's history.
Player career

Gülpınar was born in the central Anatolian province of Tokat and moved to Ankara with his father when he was a child . Here he began in 1991 at the age of twelve in the youth of the first division club MKE Ankaragücü with club football. In the summer of 1998 he received a professional contract and after the preparatory camp for the upcoming season was entered in the list of players to be loaned. So he played for two seasons on loan with third division Asaşspor and then one season with second division Karabükspor .
When his contract expired, he then moved to the Turkish second division club Konyaspor for one season in the summer of 2002 . Here he became a regular player straight away.
From the 2003/04 season he played six seasons for the Süper Lig club Denizlispor and had 171 appearances there.
In the summer of 2008 he moved to the Süper Lig club Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor . He ended his career in December 2014 at MKE Ankaragücü .
National team
Gülpınar played once for the second selection of the Turkish national team in 2004 when he was substituted on at the Future Cup tournament in the game against Austria.
Coaching career
Gülpınar had his first coaching position in the 2015/16 season with the U-14s of the Süper Lig club Istanbul Başakşehir FK . After the season he took over the first team of the third division club Bugsaşspor , but left the club after four months to join Afjet Afyonspor for the second half of the 2017/18 season . With this club Gülpınar managed the first ascent of his young coaching career (promotion to the second division ).
