Afjet Afyonspor is a Turkish football club from Afyonkarahisar . The club is considered the successor to Afyonkarahisarspor , which was closed in 2013 and has been playing in the 2nd division since the 2018/19 season . The main sponsor and namesake is the company Afjet (full name: Afyon Jeotermal Turizm ve Ticaret A.Ş ), a company that lays district heating lines in Afyonkarahisars. At the moment Afjet Afyonspor is the only professional club from Afyonkarahisar.

history

In 2013 the association Sahipataspor was taken over, the logo and the club colors were changed, the year of foundation was re-numbered to 2013. So the “newborn” Afjet Afyonspor began playing in the 2013/14 season in the Afyon Süper Amatoer Lig , hierarchically the 6th league. With 64 points he was promoted to the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig . In the BAL Afyonspor was able to continue its run and reach second place behind BB Bodrumspor . In the next attempt finally succeeded in the first promotion to the 4th division after a 2-0 win in the play-off against Halide Edip Adıvar SK . The current season (2015/16) ended in first place and with 57 points.

The best-known fan group is called Grup Afyok , which means group no mercy . The group was founded in 2005, the motto is "BU ALEMDE KIMSEYE AFYOK" ( German : "In this place there is no mercy for anyone"). At home games, the fans support their team, especially in the main stand.
