Soner Şahin (born March 29, 1981 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .

Şahin began with club football in the youth of Gaziosmanpaşaspor , then played in the youth teams of Küçükpazarspor and Küçükköyspor . In the latter, he rose to the professional team in 2001 and played here for one season. He then moved to the first division club Denizlispor in 2002 . With this team he stayed four seasons, but never came to a use for this team and was loaned out regularly.

In the summer of 2006 he left Denizlispor and played in the following years for various teams in the TFF 2nd Lig and TFF 1st Lig .

For the 2011/12 season he moved to the second division Giresunspor . This team was punished by the association with a transfer ban at the beginning of the season and had to survive the season with the existing squad. So Şahin quickly gained a regular place. The team got a chance to stay up until the end of the season and only lost it at the end of the season.

For the new season he moved together with his coach Erhan Altın to the second division team Samsunspor . In the summer of 2015 he moved on to Boluspor within the TFF 1st Lig . From the summer of 2017 he began to play for the second division Elazığspor .
