Erhan Altın (born August 28, 1956 in Samsun ) is a former Turkish soccer player and current coach.
Player career
society
Altın started playing professional football in the youth of Fenerbahçe Istanbul . For the 1978/79 season he was included in the squad of professionals and completed five league and 3 cup matches by the end of the season. With his club he won the Turkish Football Cup .
After just one season he left Fenerbahçe and moved to the first division club Göztepe Izmir . Here he fought for a regular place straight away and rose with his team after just one season in the TFF 1st Lig . In the 1st Lig succeeded with the championship of promotion. Altın increased his performances again in the 1981/82 season and rose to the national team.
After Göztepe again missed relegation in the Süper Lig at the end of the season , Altın moved to the first division Kocaelispor for the upcoming season . Here he played until the summer of 1989 and ended his playing career at Uşakspor.
National team
Altın was nominated three times for the Turkish national soccer team in 1981 as part of the qualification for the soccer world championship 1982 and came in the match of October 7, 1981 against the national soccer team of the USSR for his first and only international game.
Coaching career
Following his playing career, he decided to start a coaching career. His first job was in 1996 as assistant coach at Eskişehirspor . He then took over the post of head coach at Çanspor .
The following time he worked exclusively as an assistant coach for various clubs until spring 2009. In the spring of 2009 he took over his former club Kocaelispor , but could not save it from relegation. In the summer of 2009 he then took over the first division club Denizlispor . He was fired here after a disappointing start to the season.
At the end of February 2012, he took over the post of head coach at the second division Giresunspor . He turned this club, which had been given a transfer ban and had already been safely relegated, upside down and made sure that the club retained the chance of relegation until the last game. On the last day of the match Giresunspor won 1: 2 against Sakaryaspor . But since the direct rivals Karşıyaka SK and Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor drew 1: 1, Giresunspor rose. If one of the two direct competitors had won, Giresunspor would have managed to stay in the league. This circumstance ensured that the accusation of collusion between the two competitors arose. Altın's performance has received praise from the trade press.
In summer 2012 he took over the Süper Lig relegated Samsunspor . After the club on the 12th matchday in the home game against Şanlıurfaspor get only a draw and so could not free themselves from the relegation zone, Altın resigned from his office.
For the 2013/14 season he took over the third division club Göztepe Izmir , where he had already been a player in the 1980s. Here he was released after about a month.
For the 2014/15 season he took over the second division team in his hometown, Samsunspor, for the second time in his career. He led this club to the play-off final of the TFF 1st Lig. Here the club Antalyaspor was defeated and thus missed the last opportunity for promotion to the Süper Lig .
After the collaboration with Samsunspor was discontinued, he moved to the second division Alanyaspor in the summer of 2015 . He left this club again at the end of September 2015.
