Hekimoğlu Trabzon is a Turkish sports club from the Trabzon Province . The football club plays in the TFF 3rd Lig . The club advertises with the slogan "Profesyonel Liglerdeki Tek Köy Takımı" (German: about the only village club in the professional leagues ) . Since the club is also supported by a local truck driver association, it is also known as Kamyoncuların Takımı (German association of truck drivers ).

history

founding

Düzyurtspor was founded in 1986 in Düzyurt, a village with two thousand inhabitants near the port city of Trabzon . After the city administration of Trabzon received the status of a large city , the village of Düzyurt became administratively a district of the city. This made the village more integrated into the city, which also made it easier for the local league to participate.

Bankruptcy and Reconstruction

After the club was about to close in 2003 due to a lack of financial resources, Dolmuş driver Ömer Ortakudaş took over the technical management of the club. At that time, the club did not have enough money to get a team dress. Ortakudaş formed a team from the youth of the village and was active as a player himself in the first few years. He collected money from his colleagues and friends, used it to pay the club's debts and saved it from bankruptcy. He drove the team to the away games in his own bus or car and organized other sponsors and donors. After the club had played eleven years in the Trabzon 1. Amatoer Lig , the club rose to the Trabzon 2. Amatoer Lig and a year later in the regional amateur leagues .

Modern times

For the 2013/14 season they made the leap into the professional TFF 3rd Lig for the first time . Already in the first fourth division season, the 2013/14 season , the championship was reached on the last day. As a result, the team rose to the TFF 2nd Lig for the first time in its history . With this success, Düzyurtspor is also the first village club in the 3rd division.

As of the 2014/15 season, the actual club name Düzyurtspor will have this company name as an extension of the name due to the name sponsoring contract with the main sponsor Birlik Nakliyat and is therefore called Birlik Nakliyat Düzyurtspor . In the summer of 2015, the club finished the TFF 2nd Lig in 17th place in the table and thus rose again to the TFF 3rd Lig. The association is now called Hekimoğlu Trabzon .
