Sancaktepe Futbol Kulübü Anonim Şirketi or Sancaktepe FK is a Turkish football club from the Istanbul district of Sancaktepe and was founded in 2008 as a company sports club of the Sancaktepes district administration. In addition to the well-known football department, the club also has other sports departments such as basketball , wrestling , karate , wushu , kickboxing and muay thai . The football team plays their home games in the Hakan Şükür Stadium . The club colors are red and white.

history

Foundation and the first years

The club was founded on March 22nd, 2008 as a company sports club of the Sancaktepes district administration. The soccer team took part in the regional amateur league after it was founded.

Entry into professional football

Raised to the Boelgesel Amatoer Ligi, the club established itself at the top of the table in its first season, the 2009/10 season. The team finished the season confidently as first in the table and rose for the first time in the club's history in the TFF 3rd Lig , the lowest Turkish professional league. This rise also meant the club's first participation in Turkish professional football. In its first fourth division season, the team finished the league in 3rd place in the table and qualified for the playoffs. In the playoffs they were eliminated in the semifinals against Diyarbakır Büyükşehir Belediyespor . The club suffered the same fate in the fourth division season 2011/12 . Again you became third in the table and again you were eliminated in the playoffs in the semi-finals.
