Long-distance transport
According to the timetable, all long-distance trains pass through the station, but during trade fairs some Frecciarossa stop on the way from Turin to Milan and Rome, which is why platforms were also built on the high-speed line. During Expo 2015, it is planned that all long-distance trains will stop at the station, including the EuroCity from Basel SBB or Geneva to Milan and, in some cases, to Venice.
Regional traffic
The train station is served by the regional express trains Turin – Milan (over the old route), and two lines of the Milan S-Bahn stop in Rho Fiera Milano. The S5 line goes from Varese to Treviglio, the S6 from Novara to Treviglio. Both lines are run by the Trenord , the S5 in cooperation with the municipal ATM .
