Mehmet Güven (born July 30, 1987 in Malatya ) is a Turkish football player who plays for Osmanlıspor FK .

Player career

Güven moved up to the first team of Galatasaray Istanbul in the 2005/06 season after playing in the club's youth department. In his first season, the midfielder was Turkish champion with Galatasaray, but only made a brief appearance during the season. In the 2006/07 season he played nine games (1 goal) in the Turkish Süper Lig and also made a brief appearance against Liverpool in the 2006/07 UEFA Champions League .

In the 2009/10 season Mehmet Güven moved to Manisaspor . Here he made it straight into the starting lineup and played in 23 league encounters in his first season. In his second season he increased his performance again considerably and after a long absence he was elected to the second selection of the Turkish national team . In the league, too, he played a part in making his team the surprise team of the season. The 2011/12 season got off to a promising start and Güven played all of the first half of the season. The entire second half of the season he was out due to injury and could not influence the relegation of his team.

In the summer of 2012, his contract with Manisaspor expired and so he moved to the Turkish first division club Eskişehirspor . With this club Güven stayed only one season and switched to league rivals Torku Konyaspor in the summer .

For the 2015/16 season, Güven moved to the league rivals and promoted Osmanlıspor FK . Güven played for the capital city for the next three seasons and then moved to the second division Afjet Afyonspor .
