Mehmet Taş (born March 20, 1991 in Mersin ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Taş began in the youth department of Mersin Çınarspor with the club football and in 2005 moved to the youth department of MKE Ankaragücü . Here he received a professional contract in the spring of 2010 and was then loaned to Ankara Demirspor .

For the 2010/11 season he was given to the fourth division Hatayspor along with the transfer fee . After just one season he left this club and moved to Nazilli Belediyespor within the TFF 3rd Lig . Here he sat mainly on the bench in his first season, but was able to reach the fourth division championship with his club and thus rise to the TFF 2nd Lig . In this league he conquered a regular place and kept this for two seasons.

In the summer of 2014, the first division team in his hometown Mersin İdman Yurdu signed him . Here he played for two seasons and then moved to the second division Adana Demirspor . After a season for Demirapor, he released his contract by mutual agreement with the club's management. In August 2017 he was signed by the first division club Gençlerbirliği Ankara .

A season later, Taş moved to Denizlispor . He has been playing for Giresunspor since the beginning of 2019 .
